Winterhoek Manor Bed & Breakfast Dating from 1813, this imposing Cape Dutch prperty has 3 charming en suite rooms, named after founding Fathers of the Western Cape. The 4 star accommodation is an eclectic mix of old world charm and modern conveniences. A stunning breakfast utilising fresh produce is served at the Tulbagh Hotel, just across the street.The Toll House Self Catering Accommodation Dating from 1807, this thatched cottage has 3 bedrooms, a secluded garden with a plunge pool and Braai / BBQ. Located in the middle of historic Church Street, ousing Cape Dutch charm, this cottage is a National Monument. There are excellent rstuarants and amenities on the door step.Graded 3 star, this self catering accommodation in Tulbagh helps us provide a comprehensive range of accommodation. a Bed and Breakfast rate can also be arranged.

The 4 Star Tulbagh Hotel offers a spacious but cosy dining area and lounge bar. Large open fires to tkae the edge off cold winter evenings.Al fresco dining for those balmy summer evenings, either out on the patio under the White Karee tree, overlooking the lively and entertaining van der Stel street, alternatively relax inour secluded courtyard which provides a tranquil atmosphere and a venue for an occasional BBQ.

The a la carte menu is a celebration of South African flavours and locally sourced seasonal fruits and vegetables. All our dishes are prepared inour kitchen, from sauces to sorbets! Our home farm is the source of much of our fresh produce. Award winning cheese from local kimilili cheesery and organic olives from Waverly Hill estate feature. Our comprehensive wine list endeavoures to bring you the best of award winning local wines. Ostrich, Kudu and Springbok provide a taste of African Game. Our vegetarian guests are equally catered for. Great South African food with country hospitality at the Tulbagh Hotel. We also cater for private functions and weddings for up to 150 guests.

Venue:
Tulbagh is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Cape Winelands, and is a popular wedding destination. Church Street, renowned for the 32 Heritage buildings, is also home to the oldest church in South Africa, dating from 1745. Although now a museum it is still available for wedding ceremonies. Once married the wedding party can stroll past the thatched Cape Dutch heritage houses to our main wedding venue at 29 Church Street. Here we can accommodate up to 200 guests. It features one of the Heritage houses and its converted stabling block, which has been hand painted by local artist Vassek Matoussek.The Mediterranean style floodlit terrace is ideal for dining and dancing the night away under a star lit sky, framed by historic Cape Dutch gables. There is also the option of a marquee reception in the stunning tree lined garden, which runs down to the river. When the celebrations are over, the majority of accommodation in Tulbagh is a mere 5 minute walk – so no need for drivers. The four star Tulbagh Hotel, established in 1859, offers luxurious accommodation in the Winterhoek Manor (1813), the heritage annex, and the Toll House Self Catering cottage (1807), adjacent to the wedding venue. Our catering staff can provide a wide range of menus to suit your taste and budget, including a spit braai and a wood burning Mediterranean oven. An intimate wedding on the stoep under the White Karee tree, a cozy gathering in winter around the large fireplace, or a large party under a marquee in the garden, we will create your perfect solution.

Tour our beautiful valley in peace and tranquility by hiring a mountain bike from the Four Star Tulbagh Hotel, conveniently located in the middle of van der Stel Street, the main street, next to the Standard Bank. We will provide you with a map, detailing suggested routes of varying length and difficulty. After a rewarding time on the road, join us back at the Tulbagh Hotel for a complimentary glass of wine on the patio under the shade of the White Karee tree. We offer al fresco dining in the secluded courtyard, with an a la carte menu featuring great South African country fayre. Accommodation in Tulbagh at the Tulbagh Hotel is available on a Bed and Breakfast Accommodation or Self Catering Accommodation basis.
