The Grand Daddy

Luxury shouldn’t exclude playfulness so The Grand Daddy has infused all its rooms and communal spaces with magical creative touches to ensure that guests are pleasantly surprised by the unexpected, the humorous and the interesting. The Grand Daddy’s warm and hospitable staff will guide you through this gentle journey throughout your stay by offering little-known information about the surrounds and the history whilst also performing the necessary business of hotels in a calm and caring manner.

Of course, The Grand Daddy’s big talking point is its ‘penthouse’ trailer park, where a collection of vintage Airstream caravans nestle beneath the backdrop of Table Mountain. Each of the 7 two-sleeper trailer suites have been conceptualized and designed by local artists and makes for an accommodation destination like no other. The Grand Daddy feels like a family-owned hotel and in some respects it is. It is a part of the Daddy Long Legs Group, who also brought us Cape Town’s original art hotel, Daddy Long Legs, and the Daddy Long Legs Self Catering Apartments. The philosophy is simple – provide excellent service, clean, comfortable rooms, a creative feel and charge less for it!
