The name of this new braai-restaurant at
Diemersfontein Wine Estate was quite aptly chosen: both an abbreviation of Ashley’s name, and a nod to the remnants left behind once the fire goes out at the end of the day.
Ashley is extremely passionate about braai. He is as enthralled by cooking in this truly South African style, as he is about the sense of camaraderie and togetherness that gathers in the glow of the flames. That is why the majority of the menu at ASH, besides being prepared on the fire, is also intended to nurture a sense of togetherness through sharing plates.
