Enjoy a perfect day out with our private picnic pods at Jordan Wine Estate! Located on our scenic lawn around our dam, these pods offer stunning views of the Stellenbosch Kloof Valley and the Stellenbosch Mountains, comfortably fitting 2-8 adults.
Indulge in gourmet delights with picnic baskets brimming with exquisite treats from The Cellar Door at Jordan. Each basket is thoughtfully curated, with enough for two people to enjoy a delightful feast amidst stunning natural surroundings.
Picnic collection begins at 12h30 on your booked day, allowing ample time to savour every moment. Your private pod remains exclusively yours until 16h00, ensuring a serene and unforgettable experience. Each pod includes blankets, cushions, an ice bucket, and a picnic basket for two from The Cellar Door at Jordan.

Picnic basket menu
- A selection of wines, beers, soft drinks and hot beverages can be purchased at The Cellar Door on the day when baskets are collected.
- Your basket will include a selection of in-house freshly baked Focaccia, Cape seed loaf and gratinated brioche, to accompany locally sourced charcuterie including Ryan Boon biltong, locally produced hard and soft cheese, including Dalewood Camembert and Brie, Klein River Stanford, De Pekelaar Boerenkaas.
- This will be accompanied by Jordan Estate pickled olives, homemade preserves, and spreads including Chef Thys’ carrot and miso hummus, Spiced apple chutney compote, smoked Moroccan chickpea pâté, creamy savoury whipped butter.
- You will also receive homemade Cubin marinated pulled chicken tartlet with orange, lemon & coriander on beetroot and flaky pastry.
- Enjoy with a Mediterranean lentil salad.
- Last but not least, something sweet to end the day.
Are your kids joining us?
Book them each a yummy kiddies picnic! Their basket will include a petit beef sausage roll, a mini margarita pizza, a packet of crisps, and a juice box. Then satisfy their sweet tooth with a giant cookie! They can enjoy their own basket, whilst running and playing on the lawns. Purchase this kiddies basket, during the booking process.
