What To Expect
Visitors to Boschendal can take home their favourite homeware items from the farm. Bespoke collections such as Botega’s ceramic range in black made exclusively for and available only at Boschendal feature alongside internationally acclaimed South African favourites such as Wonki Ware and Storm in a Teacup. Handmade linens from Barrydale Weavers have been designed and constructed exclusively for Boschendal in the Klein Karoo, along with further exclusive colourways from Angela Swain and Chile Co. No South African home is complete without a collection of baskets – Boschendal’s selection is handcrafted in neighbouring Paarl using traditional techniques and natural materials.
Alongside the talent of local artisans, the Farm Shop will showcase the diverse range of expertise within their own 1,800 hectares. Wooden boards are handmade on the farm from offcuts of South African oak and olive wood and available for purchase – they offer the perfect foundation for Boschendal’s exquisite bakery goodies baked daily. The Boschendal Foodlab has been developing a collection of treats and luxury pantry items that celebrate the seasonal tastes of the farm; a whole range of new condiments and preserves – such as the divine guava jam – accompany sweet treats like the farm lavender shortbread. Ready-made meals are available to take away with a full range of Boschendal wines, grown and bottled utilising almost 300 years’ winemaking heritage.

Ready made meals
We have a selection of delicious ready-made frozen meals for you to enjoy at home. Meals are prepared weekly by Chef Allistaire Lawrence and his team. Portions available for 2 and 4 & additional sides to choose from.
Our Butchery
Boschendal is the first farm in the Cape Winelands to be awarded world-renowned environmental and animal welfare certification from A Greener World (AGW). Certified Animal Welfare Approved by AGW is the only higher animal welfare certification in South Africa and the standards of this programme were developed with the help of veterinary and farming experts from across the globe to encourage and maximize high-welfare farm management that is practicable.
You can pre-order your favourite cuts from our selection of award-winning Werf Butchery meat. Orders can be placed by emailing our Farm Shop team at farmshop@boschendal.co.za. Orders need to be placed by 12h00 the day before collection.
Homeware
Our Homeware offers all kinds of ideas to enhance al fresco living. The shop features crockery from Wonki Ware, stylish gadgets and must-haves for hikes and the great outdoor from Just Like Papa, and a range of previously loved gardening books from Pier Rabe Antiques. Design a vegetable garden or prune the roses properly, taking advice from the South African experts whose books are there to browse. There are wicker baskets and trays, sarongs and floating candles for the swimming pool, and Andrea’s Topiaries is back with a chic range of year-long topiary decor for the home. And for your alfresco lunch and dinner menus, don’t forget to try one of our ranges of olive oils from specialists, African Oils & Vinegar. There are skin and body care products from Provenance, handmade candles from Kapula and more.
