Situated in the beautiful fertile Hemel en Aarde valley, with panoramic views over the surrounding mountains, Sandown Bay and beyond, Heaven is indeed an appropriate name for this restaurant. Here you will find a small piece of heaven where good food, delicate wines, and warm company combine to deliver an unforgettable culinary experience. Your friendly hosts, Yolande, Dianne and Bruce invite you to come and enjoy delicious, freshly prepared meals in an intimate atmosphere. Due to its superb setting, Heaven, makes a stunning venue for private functions which can vary from a sit down three course menu for twenty five, to a cocktail party for eighty guests.

Head Chef Bruce Henderson, whilst the kitchen may be small it is indeed a powerhouse of super efficiency. The menu changes regularly with seasons and availability of product focusing on Mediterranean dishes using local produce wherever possible. Fresh  bread is baked daily and both the seed bread (with pumpkin, sesame, linseed and sunflower seeds) and the foccacia (with calamata olives, rosemary and sundried tomatoes) are a huge success with the many overseas visitors who flock to Heaven to enjoy the superb cuisine. In addition all the ingredients in the Meze Platter are made on site, as well as the refreshing Sorbets such as the melon and ginger.

Starter recommendations are the definitely the Chicken Salad (which is made with freshly smoked chicken straight off the barbecue that has been marinated in soya and ginger), and the deep fried Onion topped with a mixture of cream cheese, tandoori chicken, pineapple salsa and coriander. Main course recommendations are the Steaks served in three different styles: French with Camembert and black cherries; Italian with caramelized onions, buffalo mozzarella and pesto; Greek with caramalised onions, feta cheese and roasted tomatoes. Yolande is passionate about desserts so save room for her impressive Pavlova made with a selection of fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and black cherries.
