Vergelegen's mystic camphor forest is the setting for a luxury, white-tablecloth picnic. It offers an opportunity for both intimate as well as family and friend gatherings in a beautifully shaded and tranquil camphor forest, descendants of the original camphor trees, planted by Van der Stel in the 1700s.
The word picnic consists of ‘pic’ meaning to pick at food, and ‘nic’ referring to something small. So, we have given you a superb selection of small things to pick at to please the palate and the senses.
Reservations are essential (at least 24 hours in advance).
Operating hours: Open Wednesday - Sunday: 12h15 - 13h30 for collection of picnic baskets (November - April) | closes at 16h30.
