Spier Wine Farm offers plenty of tranquil spots for you to enjoy your picnic. Laze under the ancient oaks of our historic farmyard, the Werf, or head to the Riverside picnic area to relax on the grassy banks of the dam, surrounded by boulders and birdsong.
Our seasonally-inspired picnics are always fresh and nourishing. We source as many ingredients as possible from our farm or trusted local producers. In addition to our standard seasonal picnic basket, we also offer vegan, vegetarian, and kids’ options. Blankets, cutlery and glassware are included with pre-booked baskets. Grab an ice bucket and select from our award-winning range of wines for the perfect picnic pairing.

We have gone to great lengths to source local, natural and organic produce for our picnics and therefore do not allow private picnics. A "build your own" selection is available at the Spier Farm Café.
Important points to remember:
- Menus are seasonal and subject to change.
- Blankets, cutlery and glassware are included in your basket.
- Collection times for picnics are from 12h00 - 14h00, pick up your basket at the Picnickery. Baskets are to be returned by 16h30.
- We have limited inside seating available for rainy days.
- The picnic spaces are public; however, we can accommodate group bookings in semi-private areas if booked in advance. Bookings for groups larger than 8 can be done by email to werf@spier.co.za.
