Giulio Bertrand, owner of Morgenster Wine and Olive Estate, has announced that towards the end of 2018 he will be opening the Morgenster Boutique Hotel and Spa as part of his long-planned hospitality offering.

This is the third phase of the development of his Estate, following implementation of his vision to produce “the best Bordeaux style wine outside France and the best Italian style olive oil outside Italy”.

Eight luxurious cottages with one or two bedrooms have been designed in a contemporary style. The complex will be built with the finest finishes and décor and equipped with state of the art amenities. Each cottage will have its own veranda overlooking an active bird sanctuary around a beautiful dam.  The magnificent view is framed by the ever changing colour palette of the surrounding Hottentots Holland and Helderberg mountains.  A large infinity pool and breakfast lounge will provide guests with additional relaxation areas as will the Estate’s restaurant, 95 At Morgenster and its tasting room.

Within the serenity of natural surroundings the spa will offer guests a wide range of massage, skincare and beauty treatments aimed at imparting refreshment and balance to mind body and soul.

Morgenster is 200 hectares in size, less than half of it being under vineyards and olive orchards. The rest is a heritage zone of the flora and fauna of the Cape Floristic Region which is the smallest of the world’s six recognised floral kingdoms. Guests will also be able to enjoy scenic walks through the vineyards and olive groves and a mountain bike trail has been laid out for energetic cycling enthusiasts.
