The Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate is set in a natural undulating valley in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands. Our location, on the North facing slopes of the Devon Valley, allows for wonderful mountain and vineyard views. The scenery is further enhanced by the abundance of established trees throughout the course.

We pride ourselves in being the only golf course which can boast a Arboretum and have over 45 tree and plant species marked out across the course.

Devonvale has often been compared to that of a nature reserve, due to the uninterrupted peace and tranquillity, and enriched with plenty bird life all around on the course and water features.

Championship : 6136m Par 72

Signature Holes:
3rd Hole - Par 5 - Stroke 10
Men - 453 m and Ladies - 432 m

It is unusual to enjoy two par 5's in a row. This hole is challenging off the tee as a row of trees on the right and out of bounds vineyards on the left make for an intimidating tee shot. There is some respite however, as the fairway widens and runs downhill to a large green that slopes uphill from front to back. Any shot past the target will have a steep embankment to negotiate on the way back to the green.

4th Hole - Par 4 - Stroke 4 for men and Stroke 6 for women
Men - 355 m and Ladies - 308 m

This hole is noteworthy for its beautiful mountain backdrop. It features a sharp dogleg to the left and the prudent shot is to stay to the right of the fairway. The longer hitters will skirt with out of bounds to the left and cut the corner. A water hazard can come into play though if the shot is too far left. There is another water hazard short and to the right of the green. This green also slopes from right to left but there is a margin for error before reaching the green.
