Abseil Africa

Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat

Abseil off Table Mountain, a 112 m controlled descent. Step off the top, at 1 000 m above sea level, and abseil into pure vertical space. This is the world’s highest commercial abseil, surrounded by beautiful views and the deep blue Atlantic at your feet. Walk up or use the Cable Way to meet us at the top. No experience is necessary. We operate on a daily basis if weather allows.

Kamikaze Kanyon: Gordon’s Bay offers you a full day’s worth of adventure with our ’K.K’ trip. The day starts off with a breakfast at the Sunbird Lodge, followed by a gentle 45-minute hike into the gorge. The walk takes us to the base of a series of tiered rock pools called the Crystal Pools. Here we instruct you in the art of kloofing. The jumps start at 3-7 m for the cautious beginner, up to a 20 m jump for the truly courageous (or insane). After we have worked our way up the canyon rock pools (kloofing is not compulsory), you will experience our fantastic 65 m Waterfall Abseil at the top of the gorge, with a view comparable to no other.

Summit Walk: Join our guides for a spectacular guided walk up Platteklip Gorge to Mclear’s Beacon - the highest point of Table Mountain. Discover the unique flora and fauna, experience panoramic views of Cape Town, and learn interesting facts about the history and significance of this landmark. Trip takes about four hours and ends with the option of doing the Table Mountain abseil.

Clients are advised to bring warm clothing (even if its a hot day), food and bottle of water, sunblock, hat and camera.
