Our restaurant, under the capable management of Christine and Gerrit Veldsman, offers you a unique setting to enjoy your meal by the 20 hectare dam. The sparkling water of the lake reflecting the light from sky and mountains, could be a painting from the old masters.
Lunchtime presentations include gourmet salads, sandwiches and quiches. A full menu is also available for those with healthy appetites. Sunset dinners are a special attraction at Christine's at Ashanti; good food, good wine and Nature's magic all combine to provide an unforgettable evening experience.

Sunday lunches
For something special for the family, Sunday lunches by the dam offer a picnic experience in the shade of spreading oak trees with something for everyone. Or, you may choose to eat in the dining room, or on the terrace under the leafy green arbor. We are child friendly----there is special entertainment for the young ones. Frieda Marais will bring the magic of puppetry to each child with her charming puppets and her own amazing talent. Children love to interact with her endearing characters. Look for this entertainment on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month around 1:00 p.m.
